DON BROOKS 
Donald Brooks is a Certified Specialist in workers' compensation law and a member of the California Applicants’ Attorneys Association, and the National Association of Social Security Representatives. He graduated from Chico State University in 1972 and worked as a local union president and organizer for the Communications Workers of American. He graduated from Cal Northern School of Law and has practiced disability law since 1993. This includes representing injured workers in Workers’ Compensation cases and claimants in Social Security Disability cases. Donald has been married to Lorie Brooks since 1991 and they have a son, Eric. When Donald is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and outdoor activities.
LORIE BROOKS
Her practice focuses solely on family law issues, which includes divorce, domestic partnership, custody, child and spousal support, property division, guardianship, grandparent visitation rights, prenuptial agreements and restraining orders.
Lorie graduated from U.C. Davis in 1983 with a degree in Agricultural and Managerial Science. In 1990, she graduated valedictorian of her class and received a Juris Doctor degree from Cal Northern School of Law. Lorie was admitted to the California Bar in 1990. Lorie has continued her legal education by completing 63 hours of mediation training through Pepperdine University School of Law, 16 hours of Collaborative Law training and her recent attendance at a 44 hour intensive family law trial advocacy course through the American Bar Association Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute. Lorie was the first attorney to be hired as the Family Law Facilitator for the Butte County Superior Court, and worked in the position from 1997 to 2002.
Lorie Brooks is a partner with her husband, Donald Brooks, in the firm of Brooks & Brooks, established in 1992. She is an active member of the State Bar of California, Butte County Bar Association and Women Attorneys of Butte County.

ERIKA VILLICANAErika Villicana was born and raised in Orland, Calif. She graduated from Orland High School in 1996. In 2001, Erika was hired as clerical staff support for Brooks & Brooks, Attorneys at Law and worked her way up to her current position as legal assistant to the attorneys. Erika is bi-lingual in Spanish. When Erika is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Evgenio and Geo, her Great Dane.
